2010 is the 65th anniversary of the release of “The Moomin and the Great Flood”, the first of the world famous Moomin books. To celebrate this, Oy Moomin Characters have set up a Moomin 65th Anniversary Website that commemorates the longevity of these popular characters, holding a drawing contest and promoting awareness for the World Wildlife Fund. Iittala Arabia has also released a special edition 65th Anniversary Moomin Mug in which €3 is donated to the World Wildlife Fund in support of marine conservation.
