After hundreds of requests and years of waiting, Iittala has finally released an official book cataloging all the Iittala glass birds designed by artist Oiva Toikka. The soft-cover book, titled Birds by Toikka, is 168 pages and includes color photographs of each glass bird with descriptions and specs in both Finnish and English. Toikka’s bird collection is presented in the following categories: Main Birds, Annual Birds & Eggs, Special Birds, Limited Edition Birds and Annual Cubes. The book documents all of Toikka’s wonderful glass creations through 2008. He has created hundreds of beautiful mouth-blown glass birds and each bird is shown in a full vivid photograph. This book is a must have for any serious collector or fan of Toikka glass birds.
